In early 2020, Serin supported Grafton in the development and construction of the Waldorf’s signature Italian restaurant in Lusail, Doha.

Scarpetta features a contemporary interpretation of Italian architecture, with Palladiana flooring, richly coloured marble and travertine columns. The design draws inspiration from the work of renowned architect Carlo Scarpa, famed for his reinterpretation of ancient Italian public buildings. Traditional Italianate architectural details are updated with a mid-century twist. The resulting restaurant, bar and terrace have a sense of relaxed luxury and occasion, set within a newly built hotel.

Serin’s team were involved in the transformation from concrete shell to chic Italian dining setting, with al fresco and private dining areas, an extensive cigar lounge and walk-in humidor, all completed within budget and in record time.
